I need to sell my 1989 Banshee project to get some Christmas money. It is not pretty, but would make somebody a nice project. There are no cracks in the plastic; the frame and pipes have just been painted several times and are ugly. I have the engine out of the frame.... this engine is newer (from a '99 Shee). The cases are intact and have no damage.
The engine needs a top end and a crank rebuild, but it did not 'blow up' from what I can tell. The cylinders are worn to the point it lost compression, and one rod has a bad lower bearing. I'm just trying to be as honest as I can. The chassis comes with all wiring, a beat-up Toomey T-5 exhaust, and a Durablue rear axle.
I'd like $ 1,000.00 cash for everything, engine and all, but make me an offer. I'm willing to negotiate a bit. This thing needs to go. I would prefer somebody to come pick it up here in Hamlet, NC, but I would be willing to meet up somewhere for a little extra.
Might consider a part-out as well, if it doesn't sell whole and people are interested.
