Do I need to prime my carb to get it to work? I just rebuilt it and I cant get it to stay running I can only get it to run if I spray a little starting fluid into the carb then it dies,

I rebuilt it about 6 months ago and then I put it away for the winter. I never ran it do to an electrical problem that I just got fixed do you really think i should go thru it again?

Ya turned the petcock I am getting fuel thru the line to the carb. I think tonight I will take it apart and clean it again I will probably clean the petcock to just to make sure I am getting enough fuel flow.

we were out riding and then fuel started pouring out of the vent hoses. took the bike home bought a carb rebuilt kit and rebuilt the carb installed on bike and it would not start, no power to the coil I let it set for the winter and then I changed out the cdi. still no power, last night I disconected the wires to the TORS and spayed a little starting fluid in the carb and it fired up then died. it a a stock 89 blaster.

did you empty the float bowl during storage? you should always turn fuel off and run the carb out of gas before storing for any long period. gas turns to gunk over time and those little brass peices in you carb get stuck easy. clean needle and seat try again! check you jets also. u got goop in something
