impropper jeting will kill your engine yes. bu tif you dont change anything then your jetting wont be wrong. the basic idea is if you give your engine more air you need to give it more fuel to maintain proper lubeing of the engine. the stock oil injection kinda sucks and can fail. if you want to reconnect it you can, ive got most of the parts laying around you can have if you want to pay to ship them all the way to South Africa...

i made a stock '96 last for 8 years, sold it with the stock piston and rings and the oil injection still in it, heres a few tips that i feel made it last that long......................

----keep the air filter clean, in fact get an after market one, i like uni's now, but had a twin air in that one, and rejet the main up 1 or 2 when you do this mod
----change the gearbox oil often, once a month during summer riding season
----warm it up completely before riding it, till you cant hold your hand on the cylinder, /\/\/\/\ most important IMO
----never hold it wide open for long distances, always fluctuate the rpm's on long runs, and blip the throttle to feed fuel into it when comong off any wide open throttle runs
---- use as much care as possible with your fuel, use the highest octane available, always using a clean can, and clean off the top of tank and cap, to keep dirt/sand out of it before refueling
----use a good synrhetic oil made for mix or injection
maxima "super m" has been very good to me, and my bike seems to like it too, almost 10 years of blasters and have only ever fouled 1 plug, and no seizures

+1 Very nice...Possible sticky, IDK. This should be given as a welcoming gift to all noobs, especially ones who are new to 2 strokes.
