i have no idea when it comes to air leaks, what they are, or what they sound like or do to an engine.. but looking at all the air leak threads on here i think its possible i might have one. when in gear and i apply the throttle it makes the normal blaster knocking noise but tends to make a loud knock that you can hear over the engine.. if its not an air leak what could be the problem??:-/

Did you rejet for winter? It has to be almost 0° up there now?
To answer your question about air leaks you would need to get a air leak tester. Holshotman sells em cheapo and the shipping was super fast!

well, iv had it since november so iv never had it without snow on the ground... but i do seem to smell a strong burning smell when im not moving and its idling, idk if its just the exhaust or something else

the only noise you will hear from an airleak is your piston seizing to the cylinder, and that won't be a knocking sound, that would only be bearings or piston slap
check your compression and report back

airleaks can be at the base or head gasket, both crank seals, the case halves and anywhere around the intake/reeds
a leakdown tester is the best way to find them

120psi for a stock blaster, anywhere near 100psi will need attention soon, and under 100 is past time for a rebuild
