Porting

if it was me and i was going to be putting a bunch of money into my machine for porting and reeds and whatnot i woudl prolly go that extra mile and get a new piston and rings also. but head milling is kinda outdated lol what you want him to do is redesign the head, its a little more money thatn jsut milling it but weeeell worth it.

ok well ive emailed flotek asking the questions i wanted to know so we shal see what comes back

yes and i have told him 3 times now that all the builders are good and make his one decision, well except dont go with kennedy power, hes a douche and you will have to replace your clutch after he builds you engine

wait... isnt this a good thing?

im guessing because your making more power... thats why your replacing you clutch...?

no because kennedy(a builder) got caught purposly burning up the clutch in peoples enginse so they would pay him to replace them, dont let kennedy power build your engine

looks like your well on your way to makin some good power dan. all of the builders that are endorced on this site are good builders. any of them will give you exactly what you want/need. keep us posted on the progress man

i'll give you the answer i always do when this comes up

call/email all of them, then make your decision.. each one does things a little different and handles themselves a little differently

Blaster 01 why all the kennedy hate? are you a Slowtek fanboy or something?
Kennedy built my motor, iv been more then happy with it. No clutch issues whatsoever.
He also gave me a awesome deal on a pipe just recently.

Kennedy powersports, Wildcard, Flotek have all been builders on this site since i joined (2 1/2 years ago)

If i were to avoid one of the builders it would be Ken o connor. But i have read many great reviews about him But he is still a pretty new face .

No offence to any of the builders but when my engine builder gets called out i will back him up

If there is any builder to avoid it would be yours truly kennedy. He does some bad port work and I don't care whhat anyone says he sucks.Lets just say I ended up with a 240 jug that is only good for a large paperwieght.Ported by the idiot himself. If anyone of you guys that actually understands porting were to look at it you would all puke.Kennedy sucks and thats the truth.I know he is your builder but he is a thief, liar, back stabbing piece of sh*t.The fat bastard never even showed up to busco after running his big mouth and saying he was coming.I wish he did so I could have stuffed this cylinder into his face and let him eat his own sh*t work.Where has he been lately????Gone from existence, right were he belongs!!!

this is a pic i saved from a doofus cylinder that was on here for sale, kennedy's sloppy porting.... he cant even carve a straight line let alone smooth and blend it all together, the ports are even different shape

nuf said !!!!!!!!!!!!!

damn again, comparing those 2, its crazy, just look at the bridge, how lumpy and un even it is compared to oconner racing

good post up awk

The cylinder I was talking about looks like the leaning tower of pisa.Thats what happens when your too fat and you naturally lean to one side.

nah dude, just looking at kennedys work and from him getting caught burning peoples clutches, HE f*ckING SUCKS

and nope not a flotek "fanboy"

i dont have a favorite builder here and if i did it would be wildcard, there nice people

I have read good about all builders (even Kennedy until he was exposed). I don't think there is a wrong choice because no matter what, you're going to gain massive amounts of power. Personally, I think Ken Occonor seems like the best person right now, but it is still a decision YOU should make. He has been extremely helpful and faithful to the site and even posts YouTube video's for engine tutorials.

If this is your first time having a motor built, find someone close to you first. If you have problems you can go see them. They will most likely help you with tuning personally.

Go to your local MX track and ask around to others that race blasters see who they use.

Once you get comfortable with install, break in, tuning and such you can "move up" the ladder. Ive never seen a hand ported cylinder that cant be made to develop more power.

If you then wait til your cylinder needs rebuilding, anyone of the "blaster devoted" builders can give you more later if you still want it.

^^^pretty much said what i was about to....but i have had stuff done by wildcard and he called to make sure i got it and that it was up to my standards and if i had any trouble just send it back and he would take care of it, where is wildcard? havent seen them in awhile....

and i have seen some of kennedy's work, he has messed up more than one motor on here, but he also has done a couple good ones too...
