i know flotek does an awesome port and polish but could anyone else give me some other places that do this kind of work.

I got mine done at mumms the word. Its a small shop out of cedar rapids, ia. Guy does a good job and the prices are very reasonable. I've been going there for the last 10 yrs and have had 8 motors done.

does he have a site or no? i need someone near n.y or that atleast has a site thanks though

where at in cedar rapids??

other shops that i have heard do a strong blaster port are RB racing ,RDZ racing and passion racing

Many people spend too much time on the intake. I can port a stock banshee exhaust port for a +4mm crank and leave the transfer port tunnels, tunnel windows, and intake alone. With the right size carb, cylinder head set up, ignition timing, 58 mill crank and pipe; the power at the rear ties would be 80hp on gas. Then I could slightly modify the intake, heavily modify the transfer port tunnels and adjust the transfer windows and 90hp on gas.
That being said, it’s all the pipe and exhaust port doing the work!
I have touched 50hp on a big bore blaster on methanol. I of course used the Vito pipe, naturally being his personal friend and all. Vit is an extremely wise and intelligent engine man; he has been doing two cycle work since 1967.
I can be reached at 866-731-2938 or kennedypowersports@gmail.com
I do not always answer the phone, leave a message and I will return your call
Thanks

what kinda hp you think you could get out of a 240 kit port/polish running pump gas with either a fmf gold series fatty or a fat bastard pipe?

depends the vitos kit says it bumps it up to 32hp+ pipe lile 3 hp?+port and polish like 5 or 6? so like 42? just guesing

Probly 35ish hp. Or just get it ported for around $250 and have 30ish hp. You could get more out of the 240 but you would need a drag pipe, 35-39mm carb, larger intake boot, new air filter, new throttle assembly, new cluth assembly, swingarm to put the power to the ground. Then you'd probly have 40 to 45 hp. But you'd really need all that to make that happen. The port on your stock jug would make your Blaster satisfyingly fast. You want to go faster than that, sell the Blaster and buy a banshee. My opinion.

i already have all that except the carb, boot, and throtle assembly. no plans of getting a drag pipe. have fmf gold series fatty now but thinking of getting the vito's fat bastard. hoping to have the 240 within the next 2 weeks and send it to be ported/polished. maybe getting flywheel lightened also

stock jug is being ported/polished also to keep as a spare incase something were to go wrong with my 240. as far as the banshee goes i wanted one but not only are they more expensive to buy but they are more expensive to mod, or rebuild and more complicated to work on

OK. Say you can get $1200 for your Blaster. You could save
1. $250 bucks on the stock jug port and polish.
2. $500 on the 240 cyl
3. $250 on 240 porting
4. $300 on carb , throttle cable, and intake
You can get a good running Banshee for $2500 and it will be about as fast as your blaster.
Put another $400 into the Banshee, and you will beat every Blaster out there.
Again, my opinion. You may want to have a "sleeper" bike and surprise people, and if that is your goal, power to you.
Bye Bye

I would sell a 240 kit that is ported for $450.00
That would include gaskets, piston kit and cylinder head.
I would recommend a 35-38mm carb. Adjustable timing plate, v-force reeds, intake manifold, Vito exhaust pipe, and a +3mm crank.
Use the 38mm carb if you will be drag racing; 3 more horsepower on top, but power drop down low
.

What do you mean by "ported"?
I know some reputable builders that will charge $250-500 to do a trail or drag port. That sounds very very cheap......

I will port the engine to meet your demands; also factor in the pipe. You pay 250 to 500 becuase people are willing to give their money away. I can charge you 500 more if you would like. It does not take me long to port most cylinders, after a few thousand, it gets easy! I can send you pics if you would like.
