I got mine done at mumms the word. Its a small shop out of cedar rapids, ia. Guy does a good job and the prices are very reasonable. I've been going there for the last 10 yrs and have had 8 motors done.

I have touched 50hp on a big bore blaster on methanol. I of course used the Vito pipe, naturally being his personal friend and all. Vit is an extremely wise and intelligent engine man; he has been doing two cycle work since 1967.
what kinda hp you think you could get out of a 240 kit port/polish running pump gas with either a fmf gold series fatty or a fat bastard pipe?
i already have all that except the carb, boot, and throtle assembly. no plans of getting a drag pipe. have fmf gold series fatty now but thinking of getting the vito's fat bastard. hoping to have the 240 within the next 2 weeks and send it to be ported/polished. maybe getting flywheel lightened alsoYou could get more out of the 240 but you would need a drag pipe, 35-39mm carb, larger intake boot, new air filter, new throttle assembly, new cluth assembly, swingarm to put the power to the ground. Then you'd probly have 40 to 45 hp. But you'd really need all that to make that happen.
stock jug is being ported/polished also to keep as a spare incase something were to go wrong with my 240. as far as the banshee goes i wanted one but not only are they more expensive to buy but they are more expensive to mod, or rebuild and more complicated to work onThe port on your stock jug would make your Blaster satisfyingly fast. You want to go faster than that, sell the Blaster and buy a banshee. My opinion.
What do you mean by "ported"?I would sell a 240 kit that is ported for $450.00That would include gaskets, piston kit and cylinder head.
I would recommend a 35-38mm carb. Adjustable timing plate, v-force reeds, intake manifold, Vito exhaust pipe, and a +3mm crank.
Use the 38mm carb if you will be drag racing; 3 more horsepower on top, but power drop down low
