Check it out guys. Stripped my raptor stator cover and polished it up. Holy hell my fingers hurt. 7 hours of sanding and 2 hours of polishing! Deff my best polishing job yet though. Next is my clutch cover. The polished covers, bumper, grab bar, exhaust, tie rods, levers, and some other little items should compliment/offset the black/blue nicely. Enjoy I:I

That's nasty hommie! Looks great!

Freek- There are a couple ways to strip the powder coat.

1. Oven Cleaner: By far the easiest but makes a nasty not so earth friendly mess

2. Sanding: By far the most difficult and time consuming

Last but not least AND by far the funnest

3. Brass Wire Brush

I use a 4" wire brush made out of brass. You can pick a whole set up at Harbor Frieght for $4 or get 1 @ Lowes for $4. It attaches to a cordless or corded drill and off you go! Just make sure you don't press too hard and scratch the metal too deep. You're going to be doing A LOT of sanding so a few minor scratches aren't too dificult to sand out.

Stock powdercoat? The stock color is silver. I had my friend "test" his powdercoating with black. He didnt do a sh*tty job, but I needed some shiny stuff I:I I just let is soak in over cleaner for about 3 hours.

Lol. I was looking into getting the stator and clutch cover chromed but they wanted $185 for both
I said screw that. So I polished them up instead.

it looks great but ya still got some shine to be had, i only say this because i can see some really light sanding marks in some spots, hence why i asked if you went sanded

Yes sir. Wet sanded the whole thing. Like i said before pics are hard to get of polished pieces. My hands were also greasy while putting the cover on so it left "dull" looking marks. I quick slipped it on for a pic. Trust me, this thing is flawless. The pics are terrible. I was just looking at them thinking damn these pics make it look like crap!
