Went to put the cylinder back on. Was hard to get on. Got stuck once, needed "persuaded" off. Got it on now, piston is almost at TDC and wont move at all. I had all my weight on the kicker, nothing. What now

Ummm this might sound dumb but you got the right size piston right? Also why did you change pistons..? Did the old one shatter?.. My old one shattered and broke up in a million pieces, therefore a small piece getting under the crank and siezing the crank and making it uncrankable.... Also check the rings, make sure their the right rings, therefore your ring gap would be on point.. If you got a service manual the ring gap spec is in there.

I just had the motor built, crank, top end, whole eight and a half yards. I went to check the rings, so i removed the cylinder. I went to install it nd it was hard as sh*t to do, and now the piston dont wanna move. Its all the same as it was when it ran. Idk whats wrong

sounds to me like your piston/ring's are binding to the celinder did you smear the celinder with 2stroke before installing the piston? how did you put your rings on, with a screw driver or did you use your hands? can you move the piston side to side like .5 of a mm? sorry for all the Questions but just trying to get a better idea of what could have happend.

oil is not required nor should it be used to assemble a 2 stroke, it sounds like you have installed the piston with the ring end gap not on the pin, you are gonna have to yank it off make sure the arrow is facing forward and get the rings right, if you need to stand on the kicker something is wrong.

when starting a 2 stroke pre-mix dont use oil it has a tendency to flash and burn the oil into the crosshatch and makes it very hard for the rings to seat, when your bike sits for along time do you disassemble it and oil it the first time you start it? didn't think so

It has to be the right bore, because it worked before I disassembled it. Im gonna yank they cylinder off AGAIN and check it all over AGAIN. And yea, the arrow is pointing forward.

Just shut up gonzo and stop being a smart ass. Its like running a chain without lube. STUPID!

I use oil in my chain saw, but I don't oil a cylinder when it goes back together, for what?
