I'm rebuilding top end on my 01 blaster and there is alot of movement at top of rod and piston. I noticed that the piston opening is quite a bit bigger than the top end bearing and the top of rod. Let me see if I can explain this right. The top end bearing is 22.5 mm wide and the top of rod where bearing slides in is 17mm wide. But if your looking thru bottom of piston the distance where the wrist pin slides in is about 1 inch or 25.4mm wide. Shouldn't that opening be a little bigger than rod width (17mm)? Not close to 10mm wider. If I hold piston secure I can grab rod and move it side to side quite a bit. I'm thinking thats where my knocking is coming from.

the connecting rod does move side to side a little but there is a tolerance...
no up n down play on lower rod bearing at all
as to everything else im confused.
knocking can be alot of things and even when a blaster is all as well
it is not sooo quite nor anything that explodes gases pushing down on some metal lol
