you're gonna need more than a piston, that cylinder is gonna need bored and new oversize piston installed, and only the shop doing the work can tell you what size to get, after inspecting the damage to the cylinder
if you don't have a reputable shop near you, call that number in my sig pic

You have a Vito's superstock cast piston that's .080" oversize. You can only go another .010" over.

ouchhh, and if the piston is that damaged i can only imagine how that cylinder is looking, i dont think .010 over is gonna take some damage away, i hope that it does for your sake, but i think you are looking at resleeving or new cylinder.

That hole in the case was caused by the skirt that broke off the piston being forced through by revolving parts.

I fear that you are not only going to need a new top end but a complete unit.

Ok at the machine shop they told me i need a new sleeve cuz .080 is the maximum

nope, .090 is max, as ken told you above

heres just one of the .090 over pistons i found on ebay
88-06 YFS200 Blaster Piston Wiseco (.090) 68.25 | eBay

sounds like that shop doesnt know whats up
better send it to ken, or if a sleeve is the route you wanna go, he can accomodate that also

BTW, ken has an extra set of good cases of mine at his shop,
if new cases are needed to fix the hole in yours ???

UPDATE: they will hone it to 68.25 (.090) with the wiseco piston but is it worth it i've heard about overheating problems. this quad is an old beater, i dont race, mostly rough trail tho cant go past 3rd gear in those trails. If overheating is the problem what cant i do to reduce heat?

thank you

A detailed list of all, if any, modifications, oil/fuel ratio and elevation is required, even then only a ballpark figure can be suggested.

List away and someone may have the knowledge of the setup you run.

All i know is i have a .090 over cylinder. I beleive it is stock carb. Air box lid removed. Tors removed. Oil injection removed. Oil/fuel ratio 32:1 94 octane. Fmf pipe (dont know wich type of fmf). Needle clip in middle position. Elevation unlnown, i am in the ottawa area in canada.

what main jet is in it now ????
is the oil injection inlet plugged off on the side of the carb
it's important to know why this fried this last time, it must be airtight and jetted correctly

first you must do a proper leakdown test and heat cycles, then retorque the head and base bolts

leakdown............
http://www.blasterforum.com/do-yourself-20/videos-how-perform-air-leakdown-test-31464/
heat cycles...........
http://www.blasterforum.com/do-yourself-20/how-break-two-stroke-315/

googled ottowa elevation for ya, and damn your only at 230' above sea level, that will require a larger main jet than us here in the mountains

jetting ..............
stock pilot, stock needle on the middle clip setting, and buy 3 main jets
a 300/290/270, start with the 300 and do a proper plug chop..............
http://www.blasterforum.com/do-yourself-20/how-plug-chop-38674/

/\/\ that and only that, will tell you to go up or down on the main jet, if it feels real boggy up top, drop one main jet size and try one more run, only,
one wide open run isnt gonna fry anything
but the learning and doing the plug chops is the only sure way

and completely disassemble the carb for a good cleaning
and don't forget or lose the brass washer that goes under the main jet

thank you guys the blaster has alot more power than i thougt. now in the break-in period but still my air screw is all the way in can some one help me with my last problem and i dont know what size jets i have and i dont know how to remove them.

Just wait until you get to finish the break in and then see how it rips.

Jets are inside the carby bowl. One can either slacken off the screw of the clamp on the carb boot and lean the carb over, of totally remove the carb.

Take off the float bowl being careful not to stress the float any.

The main jet is brass and will be the lowest item in the centre and will have a small number stamped in it. In your case could be around about #260- #270.
