Well I just blew up my blaster engine that I recently got. I was told it was only bored .20 over, but it is well over that. It is looking like it is .90 over. The piston is already a 68.25 mm. Here is the problem....I cannot find a 68.5 mm piston and I do not want to resleve the cylinder. Can anyone offer some advice or alternative?

well now you are at that point where you have to decide whether you wanna stay stock bore or go to a big bore.
basically you can find a good op end that is ready to go.
or you can find a stock bore top end that needs to be bored up a size and rebuild it.
i have a stock bore cylinder i'd sell ya cheap but it needs a bore up.

its not sock bore he said it was already bored over

Yup that cylinder you have is done.......

Just like 98blaster said its time to look for either another stock cylinder or go with a big bore kit.

It really shouldn't be over 68mm but i know they sell pistons at 68.25mm. But as said before time for a resleve or different cylinder.

Wait, so can I just take my cylinder I have now and have it bored over? Because its at my engine guy, and all I need is a piston. Thank you for the fast replies.

if it JUST needs a piston......then you can put a piston in it, but if it needs bored, its gonna need sleeved or replaced

Like Brando said if you just need a piston and not a bore you could get away with it. But if you need a bore you cant bore the cylinder you have now it is at its maxium bore....

I have had that same problem. You can find kits on ebay with a piston and jug bored to match for around 300 bucks. Quick and easy but a bit painful on the wallet. Good luck on the jug being in good enough shape for a new piston.
