Will a bigger carb on a stock motor help or would it be to big and hurt performance, even if you re-jet the bigger carb?

Also in my case, I have a stock motor, with fmf full exhaust (came with it, will get VITO'S FAT BASTARD sometime in future), vforce3 reeds, and a cfm air box. Will a bigger carb help, say this one.....

For a hundred dollars if I get good bang for my buck I wouldn't mind buying it for now intill I get my motor built later on this year and get another carb for that build job and selling this carb.

id avoid mikunis all together ,especailly that one ...get a keihin 28/30mm pWK carb instead

But as for as what size carbs a person should run. Would you say motors around 200 cc work best with carbs sized around 28-30 and the 240 motors are the ones that need the 34-above carbs? I just like to better understand these things.

I'd recommend between a 28 and 32mm flatslide on stock bore(non bigbore) and stroke blasters. The size will depend on the use, modifications and portwork or lack thereof. For an unported bike with an FMF system that is trail ridden I would say 28mm. I personally prefer the mikuni TM carbs for their price and tuneablilty.

dont mean to hijack this thread but does anyone know of what carbs off stock bikes would be an upgrade? like say a 250r carb or something of that nature?
