Me and my bud were at the airport today for some riding, had a good time. It is close and easily accessible to us, so we will play there once in a while. As I am sure all of you have heard different things about it, and most of them are true, both the pro's and con's, for sure. Yeah there is some trash back there from time to time, oh well, and at spot 4 some stupid crap goes down, and sometimes ya get some crazie's back there, etc.
It is a close place to burn a tank and kill some time with a buddy, we always enjoy it. Not much back there to really get nuts with but you have some room to rip it up, for sure. I break it down into say 4 different parts/spots. We ride 1, 2, and 3 but not 4.
Spot 1 is closest to UPS, that is where the beach is, a kinda cool trail system, and what I call Big track.
Spot 2 is what they call the strip. This is a long old concrete strip that you can rip on, about 1/4 mile, grass/dirt on both sides that can be ridden fast as well. The strip connects 1 and 3.
Spot 3 is another larger trail system, some hills, jumps, whoops, mudd, tight woods riding, and what I call the Mini track. This is a fun place for a bit but just like any other place back there, ya get bored after a little, but it serves a quick fix...
Spot 4 is the wheelie section, where all hell breaks loose, tons of bikes and what not are all over the roads, long riding wheelies, lotta drag Shee's, etc. I usually stay away from here as it is not my style, but unfortunately, as well, where they do all this crazy shiaaat on the roads they happen to be wasting what could be another great spot right there back in the woods where they ride out on the road. This activity they generate here usually drives everyone else away from this spot, as it is often grabbing the attention of authorities, gets broken up, etc.
So, after another Philly Airport 101, as ya have heard many times from plenty on the forum here, I will leave it there...
Here are a couple of vids from today from Big track and Mini track. These vids are not really to brag on the airport, as it really isn't much, but more to show off how nicely tuned my Blasty is now, runs Kick A$$!!!!
Couple laps at Big Track. Nice straight aways, with or without whoops, a cool trail cut through the woods, and back around the track, definitely fun to rip up...
And, here is Mini Track. This is where I go about 20-25 laps before my arms just start to give out on me, haha... Good workout though. There are a few ways to ride this track, and few different paths and jumps you can incorporate in, fun times. Here below I just ran an outside oval route, it's quick and fun. The Blasty is tuned so well and runnin' real sweeeet, AWESOME mids, pulls HARD and doesn't stop...
Hope ya enjoyed, I sure had fun today, no doubt.
Peace out Blasty Brutha'z... I:I
