Also, only runs for a short time. I have set the carb back to stock esentially, 230 main 1 1/2 airscrew floats seem to be right.. Wont fire up on its own. Would it run on ether if the reeds were bad? That is the next thing I want to do.
I flushed the fuel system with clean gas, disassembled the carb, cleaned all the jets.

My other blaster just has a plain old carb on it, this one has:

What is the big assembly sticking out of the top of the slide cover?

What is the wire the is running into that assembly?

What is the wire/hose running into the lower side of the carb on the PSGR side of the carb?

I appreciate any help I can get! Thanks!

the wire is the tors system. throttle over ride sh*tty. i mean system.. lol you need to delete that. if it is a pre 03 you just have to unplug it. the hose is from the oil injection system. that should also be deleted and capped off if you are premixing gas. the tors is probably your issue

And that is just a regular old carb. it just has the stupid tors box on top. and let's just keep it simple for now. then we will worry about airleaks and crank seals. start small. this sounds a lot like a lack of fuel delivery. tors would be where i would start

I shared that, because the first blaster, the blue one in my avator. has simuliar issue and I did the same thing and found out I had seal issue. thats why I mentioned it.

But hope its just the carb or reeds.

Lay off the Ether!

Make sure that the fuel is getting into the float bowl by loosening the drain screw.

A consant dribble of gas should flow from the drain hose.

If you have fuel, check the reeds for chips or breakage.

A compression test followed by a leak down test..

When did all this happen, did it start all of a sudden, or did it get hard to start over a period of time.

When was the last time you leak tested the motor, it should be done at least twice a season?
