i have a 28mm oko carb and i cant keep the throttle cable from falling off. i can run the cable thru the spring and into the plastic holder on the end but when i put it all together and give it throttle it pulls the cable against the little slot that it sits in and pulls it out of the hole. it looks kinda like ( o- ) the cable goes thru the cirlce and slides to the right into the slot to hold it. but the way its made makes the cable pull slightly to the left so it comes out of the slot and falls thru the hole. does anyone have this carb? MAYBE IM NOT PUTTING IT TOGETHER RIGHT? PLEASE HELP!

the cable came with the carb. its the plastic peice inside the carb that holds the ball on the end of the cable that i think is the problem but i dont know

well then, chalk that up as another problem with the cheap oko's
just my 02. cents....... i wouldnt run one on a lawnmower

are you using the black plastic piece that pinches it into the slide?

i dont think so. the only parts are a spring and a little white block thing that the cable slides into but theres nothing that holds the cable in the white block or the block to the slide. could you tell me how this assembly is supposed to be put together so i can see if im missing parts

can you post a pic of it, its its anything like my 30mm, its a pain to get in.

What i do is assemble the sprint with eh plastic piece that the cable goes though, then get it through the eye and compress it as much as possible and holt it there using the needle nose pliers.

then i fish it to wehre it needs to be in the slide.

^^^^^^ beat me to it

ur putting together wrong...put the cable thru the spring, then the white cap, u have to compress the spring and then hook the cable to the slide, then slide the white cap down over the cable..thats what holds the cable in. Be sure u have the deeper part of the white facing the slide.

ok heres what i got. im still a little fuzzy on how to put it together

heres the slide

put the cable in just like it is in the last pick. hold the end of the cable in one hand and with the other compress the cap and spring. that will give u enough cable slack to hook the end in the slide. while keeping the cable in the slide slot let the white cap down into the slide and over the cable end. the white cap only goes in one way

I had the same problem, I wasn't putting it together right. I had to loosen my throttle adjustment all the way, then i slide the cable end through the top of the carb through the spring then the plastic piece, fully compress the plastic piece, then put the end of the cable into the slide and i had to use a pair of pliers to hold it in place until i could slide the plastic piece over the end of the cable and into the slide. I've had it on and off so many times and from use the cable streached a little and i can do it very fast now.
