Oil injector block.

well what it is a compleat kit. i got min for $30.00 shipped to my door. it come with a new cover gasket, the block off plate and all the rubber plugs. it was worth it not to mess anything up. or you could make your own block off plate and call it a day.

How aggrivating is the clutch gasket? Will you have to spend the whole afternoon scraping or will it come off in one peice? I might put my blockoff on this weekend if I get bored.

My gasket came right off with no problem at all. I did however put a bit of gasket sealant on the new one to hold that flimsy gasket gasket to its mating surface while I lined the cover back up. Saved me alot of headaches.

yes the block off plate goes in place of the shaft and gear or the oil injection system. you can see it when you take the cover off.

whats the point? i just left the pump in there. why would you bother taking it out and blocking it off? and if its for weight, it cant posibly be that heavy, or enough to make a difference in anything.

the gasket is 1 piece and wont be stuck to anything should just slide off.

well i glad you like to do things more half ass. the block off kit is just the more professional way to it. not that your way is bad, but you will never have a problem if you just buy the kit.

From my understanding the problem with the oil injection in the 1st place is the plastic gear breaking, and thus there is no oil being injected.. The point of taking the shaft/gear off is probably to avoid getting plastic garbage in your casing.. It may be a little more effort to do it right, but I would say it is not worth doing the mod if you don't eliminate the root cause.. Granted by doing it your way you are not pumping oil anymore, but if you are going to tackle this task.. It is well worth doing it right.

Not to say not removing the shaft is wrong, but it eliminates one more thing to go wrong.

because the whole problem with the oil injection is the plastic gear breaking. leaving it in it still turns. its not a big deal, just something that could break and be in you gears. with the plat installed its like the pump, and gear was never there. im not saying your wrong, its just not the most professional way of removing the oil injection.

i dont have a block off on mine, i just gutted the pump and took off the white gear and i was done .. i could get some other parts for my blsty with 30 bucks lol ..
