Oil injection...how long does a tank last?

I am running a stock setup with oil injection. I rode my blaster on the trails for the first time this weekend and it did not seem you use any oil by looking at the tank. It ran fine and had a bit of blue smoke out of the exhaust.

So, how long does a tank of oil usually last? I only ran it for about 5 hours.

Thanks,

Brandon

Riden 2 hours on average per day...I would say 2-3 weeks, thats to the warning light.

I have had oil injection for 3+ yrs on a 9 year old motor.

when i had my oil tank for a little it would take forever for the oil to go down its so strange

Thanks hudack. I appreciate the input.

Thanks blasterman. This is the response I was looking for. Someone who still ran oil injection. I know I can get a block off kit but I like the convenience.

Thanks again guys!

i have no clue. as soon as i got my blaster out of my truck when i bought it the oil injection came off. but i would imagine quite a while

i tried it on my last blaster and it didn't give the engine the oil it needed and smoked it i would just premix. then you know the engine gets enough oil and never have to worry.

just let me know how much you sellin that blaster with the toasted top end for. lol.

Well I've had mine since '06 with the injector and it's running just fine. If I fry the topend I'll take it off, but I used to have an '02 blaster as well and it was just fine. The oil tank lasts a long time. If I ride everyday for a week it would need it, but I ride hard. It lasts. And when the light comes on you still have a decent amount of oil, but I'd fill it as soon as possible.

I understand some of them will last forever. but i have heard of people having a mild roll over and the oil pump getting airlocked and they fried their top end. it is just a risk i am not willing to take. if you ride hard you have to roll over occationally. hill climb too steep or something.

I've had my blaster since easter, and it doesnt seem to use much oil, maybe used 3 litres of oil! sorry cant tell u the hours i've used it for. just wondering if anyone knows the ratio it gives?
