I just bought a 97 blaster. I just put new boysen carbon fiber reeds in it and was wanting to change the oil. I have heard it takes 650 ml but is it the same amount or more for a blaster that has been bored 40 over? And is the Lucas 10W-40 motorcycle oil good to use?

use belray 80w nothings better for it. also yes its 650ml the top end has nothing to do with the oil in a 2 stroke. you are chaning the oil in the crankcase its the little oil cap right next to the kicker. and you are still running the oil injection correct (meaning you fill the oil in the tank on the back of the bike right?) if not i sure hope you are premixing.

The oil is for the trans and clutch only. The oil in the gas lubes the motor. The trans where you add the oil is sealed from the crank case.

i have another question also. does anyone use the low ash semi synthetic lucas premix oil?
i have been using klotz but it is hard to get where i live sometimes. i was thinking of using the lucas because it is easy to find here. any comments?
