This is an email that i sent to Ken today thanking him for what he does

Hey Ken just wanted to drop you a line i sent one of mt blaster heads to you about a month and a half ago after i had talked to you about your DIY port work on the blaster forum that i had done. Well today i took it over to a guy who has a DYNO and had him tune it for me. i had given up and it wasnt right, after running it on the dyno I was close but not their, anny how after tuning it while i watched (this man is like an artist) we ended up with 28.5 peak HP and 16.8 max torque. Thanks for the work well done. this is on a stock lower end with a stock top end bored over .040 and a stock carbI:I:D

awesome, 10+ horsepower from kens DIY port job videos, and head mod

what pipe and carb is that running ?????

Probably similar horsepower (limited by factors other than the portwork) but more torque because of increased blow-down time.

28.5 HP but only 16.8 ftlb TQ is good for a little blasty

28.5 HP out of a stock bore is SCREAMING already. CT 240 kit is 38 hp out of the box and it has a VASTLY improved timing layout, 20% increase in volume, and a considerable bump in compression because of the improved cooling capacity.

With a stock 26mm carburetor there is a MAXIMUM amount of horsepower that can POSSIBLY be produced no matter how much the transfers are carved up. I would have to take you up on your money that any engine builder would be very similar horsepower numbers with a similar setup. The difference would be the torque number. I would expect that a properly ported blaster engine would make 29 HP but 23 ft lbs of TQ which is a huge bump in the torque.

it is running a fmf fatty pipe and a power core 2 silencer.
i am 200+lb and the little thing really impresed me! i can only immagine when my 95lb daughter gets on it how she will love it!! especialy compared to where it was just stock with the pipe last time she rode it

The CT 240 kit is 40.7 hp out of the box with a Keihin 38mm PWK, and 38.7 hp out of the box with a Keihin 36mm PWK, but gains a significant amount of bottom end with the 36mm PWK...

damn! i hope i'm close to that number too. that's a plenty for me to scoot around on.

with a +3 stroker, a ported stock bore, and that 34mm carb, you should be able to put down 35hp, but idk if the toomey is the best pipe for that setup, but i could be wrong...
