Ok i replaced sparkplug, got a yz85 kehnin, i accidently cut the ground that goes to ignition coil(spliced back togeather, put gasket seal between reeds and reed spacer. So when i go to kick the quad it sounds like it wants to run but it woulnt turn over? what could be wrong? the carb i just got is in good condition. Brand new plug also.

brand new plug, um how do u check float height, and what u mean mods? like to the quad? act like the yz 80 and 270 main jet arent in my signature and there u go. the mods

carb is clean as a new bar of soap, um for the carb being a kehnin the main jet it came with is a 128? it was a little star on the jet and says 128. and idk what the comperssion is, always ran good before i switched carbs.

need to go larger on the main for sure and check the pilot jet while your in there. it probobly needs to be larger as well. should be around a 48 pilot and 150 main. that would be a good starting point. then you will need to do plug chop to be sure.

There's your problem; main jet is too small. I bet the pilot is, too. Put in a 150 main and a 50 pilot, then tune from there. It should start and run with those jets in it.

anyone know if thoes jets are causing my quad not to run. Im guessing the jets are stock(Main/Piolet)

most likely that is the problem. if you do get it to started it will be too lean and will eventually fry the piston. get the jets stated above and get them in there then report back. a carb setup for a 80cc race bike is not going to be in tune with a 200cc blaster engine.

Exactly! I have a 28mm Keihin PWK carb on my Blaster. Its engine is all stock inside, down to the OEM Yamaha piston. When running my Toomey pipe, K&N air filter, and VF3 reeds, my jetting was spot on with a 148 main and 50 pilot. I suggested the 150 main because jetting is different for every quad and it is much better to start rich and tune it from there. That way you don't burn up a top end.

ok, dont get mad, but one more time. cause im getting bit*hed at beacuse it woulnt run. my blaster will not run beacuse the jets are too small? now look at the first message of the thread and tell me if anything eles could be wrong. thank you
