Noise!!!!

I just rebuilt my top end. I put the motor on my quad and now when i ride it makes a grinding noise. And when it is sitting idling no noise at all. what could this be. May be i still have to break it in more i have only ridden it about 30 minutes.

yea i havent even finished the break in procedure and it is doing this noise

did you put in the all bearings in the right way? did you just blow your top end, or did your piston shatter?

i dont think i messed with the bearings just changed the piston and had the cases split and cleaned out the shattered piston. And i guess i did replace the bearings that came with the piston. I checked the crank at a local shop they said it was fine.

Hopefully you got the wrist pin clips clipped in correctly? Or even the rings lined up with the locator pins. I was working on mine and forgot the clips I about crapped, luckily no dmg and I only started it for a minute.

yea all that stuff seemed fine. Could it not be getting oil i dont have a block off kit.

I think that would make a scraping sound. If it was lack of lubrication, it would scrape when ideling too.
