no spark

ok i just got another blaster and it mwasnt firing i tried a cdi off of an old quad racer and it fired right up gave cdi box back to owner , bought a new cdi from yamaha pligged in and no spark still now im stuck someone said remove tors but that dont affect spark ? all i could think of was bad grounds so i checked and not loose maybe stator?? any help apprecieted ..

it could possibly be a bad ignition coil on the stator

The TORS DOES affect spark unplug the tors box by the CDI and on top of the carb. I bet you will have spark then.

well.......my dumb ass dog chewed up new cdi box so i am not going to buy another yet , but i do have an early 90s 4wheeler would the cdi box off of it work ? it has 6 wires and slightly dirrerent color codes

cdi's usually don't interchange with different models

an msd is a form of cdi and is interchangable ? anway i tried an old quadracer cdi and worked fine but guy wouldnt sell
