no spark

I am new to this sight and don't know what the hell I'm doing! Just winging it. My '91 blaster doesn't have spark. I removed the stator flywheel and cleaned the rust and corrosion. I removed the TORS. I used a testlight, that I know is good, and checked the orange wire to the coil, but didn't seem to get anything. I disconnected killswitch wires and still nothing. I tried to check wires at CDI (white/red chaser- black/red chaser), and I don't seem to get anything. I noticed that when I'm cranking (kicking) it over that the headlight and low oil light will come on. Does this mean that I'm getting power from the stator? I don't want to buy a bunch of parts that I don't need, and I am no electrician. Any help is greatly appreciated! HELP ME BLASTER FORUM!

Ya if notice the lights flicker as your are kicking, then te stator is likely not the issue.

Have you tried a different plug ? made sure the flywhee key is not cheared ?

I asume you hae put the plug in the coil, to confirm no spark ?

Your coil may be bad.

There are 2 coils in the electrical system, 1 for ignition , and 1 for lighting, they are independant of each other.

Did you remove the TORS correctly?

Check all grounds fo continuity.
