You need a multi-meter capable of reading resistance in Ω and MΩ (ohms and megaohms) to check the stator plate. You do not have to remove it unless it is defective.

Go to the general support section of this forum and find the downloadable service manual. It has an excellent electrical troubleshooting section in it which will walk you through the steps and give you the specifications for your electrical system.

ive got a big bore kit on it now with 3+mm stroker crank v force 3 reeds, with spacer, toomy pipes, so i just wanna hear this thing run:)

what i did when this happened to me i was camping with my blaster and my stator went out. i put my fingers on the metal of the connection coming from the stator to the cdi and if you get shocked it works if not then time to replace
