No spark

Hi, I am new to this fourm thing but i will give it a try. I got a 96' blaster that is in brand new shape. Problem is it sat in a garage for the past 7-9 yrs with out being riden. I got it home cleaned the carbs, tanks and lines. Put in fresh gas and found out no spark. tested all four wires and got juice on yellow/orange strip. no juice on white/red stripe and black/red stripe. any knowledge out there.

Yes. I have no juice coming from the 2 of the 3 wires coming from the stator.

I know rickys staors sells the pieces to the staor but have heard bad thinks about them.

You can get a stator of ebay for between 40-80 bucks. I dont know if the blaster flywheel rusts up or not because of the plastic it is wrapped in but I would check that. Look for broken wires too.

Do you still have the TORS hooked up?

If so disable it and check again, no need to remove the hole thing

yeah check tors and its prob either your stator or your coil. they have links for trouble shooting on here somewhere...

Thanks for the info. This quad is in brand new shape i would say less than 10 hrs on the machine. i have taken the flywheel off and it looks brand new. that stator looks brand new no rust no ware. but i will look even closer. Thanks again. thanks for the welcome bro.

Well after a lot of ohms checking it turns out that the stator puts out ac and not dc. so the stator is fine and my cdi is bad. anyone have a spare for sale.
