I think it is def a electrical prob. Bike starts on first kick n idles perfect but if i hit the throttle it revs 4 a sec then cuts out like the spark stops . It doesnt sound like lack of air or fuel. I can tap it very lightly and get it reving a lil but if i hold it at any throttl pos. it cuts out till i let go of the throttle ne helpm will be great i just bought this bike n redid the top end and havent been able to rip it up yet

That sounds like a tors failure, there is a post on how to remove your tors in the DIY section. Try that and see if it fixes your problem.

is the tors still on the bike?

also on mine i noticed that my upper cylinder gasket was leaking,ive heard that will make it run bad ,but i havent changed it out yet due to lack of time
there is a thing on the clutch lever that is associated with the parking brake that will allow it to start and idle but not rev up,try it out

if you have a leak on your cyliner gasket then, that is going to cause you major problems. That means that you have very low compression.
i havent fixed my problem yet ,but i still have good compression even with the leak but that is my own fault for rushing the rebuild, i just need to retorque mi head bolts down
if you search for parking brake on here it will explain more about that issue ,but im pretty sure u just have to make sure that the brake is not engaged to solve that one without wire snipping

oh yeah with the tors to do a simple test of whether or not its working take the front hood plastic off and on the shifter side there will be two small boxes (little computer jobbers) unplug the top one ,no cutting now, and try it out . on mine that is all that i have to do to disable my tors box

did not find a tors box but the wires that run to the throttle ,Icut and ran them together that solved my prob. Thaks for all the input guys
