hey i got my 1998 yamaha bblaster and when i go into gear it moves but has no power at all. i believe it doesnt hit power band but i dont think it gos fast enough to hit that yet and it was perfect before i put it in a diferent chasis any help would be great and i also did a compression test it was good at 125 psi

Welcome to the forum !! I:I
Unfortunately your post is very vague. Seems to have no power and 125 psi comp. I think you put engine in different frame?
First we need more info. Is it 100% stock? If not list EVERYTHING done to it. What jets are in carb? Have you comepletly dissasembled and cleaned carb? Is air filter clean? New plug? What did old plug look like? When putting engine in did you make ALL grounds clean down to bare metal? Coil also?
Also try describing how it's acting. I:I

hey, everything is stock and all wires are connected and the carb was completley rebuilt and jet is a 250 i beleive. it is acting as if it backfires while trying to start it and the motor ran perfect be fore we swithed the frames out. i beleive it can be the tors system but i am not gonna disconect any wires unless i know for sure

250 main is too rich for a stock setup. The backfiring is a bit peculiar though. You need to make sure everything is sealed up on the engine by doing a leakdown test to make sure there are no air leaks. After that, make sure the carb and filter is all in order.

Other things to check are making sure the spark plug boot is clipped onto the spark ALL THE WAY. Put a new plug in as well if the current one is a little old.

ok thanks and would you mind explaining a " leak down check" and what would be ideal jet size

ideal jet for a stock motor, which would be the stock motor is 230, so u gotta go down 2 sizes, then youll be spot on for factory stock. a leakdown test is when you take the exhaust off, well.. first find a leakdown tester. private message slickerthanyou, he makes them, then well, you can ask him how to do a leakdown test
