I have a 99 blaster, I recently purchased and redid the topend. Had to bore 30 over and got a wiseco piston. It has full fmf exhaust, boyesen reeds, K&N filter, oil blockoff and running a 300 main jet, 32.5 pilot jet and haven't checked the needle clip yet. I know that 300 main jet seems a little rich but that is what I was running at prior to my head problem. I have the airbox cover on (w/ holes drilled in it-not my mod) so I assumed its like an open airbox which requires a richer jet so it makes sense. I searched Fmf and they recommended a 260 to start but I think it is reference to everything else being stock. It basically wont turn over unless I give a little throttle and it wont idle without the throttle being opened slightly. It is getting gas in the carb. I run 32:1 Maxima Super M oil mix. It seems like a pilot jet problem to me but it could be anything.

The previous owner said the 300 was the only size he could get it running on, Im going in to vito's to see if they have any ideas(maybe smaller jet might be needed for the brand new piston). It might be something with the tors and I will most likely get the removal kit. I'll let you all know the developments.
