was out in the woods today, and found this. It's an old CASE knife, it was in a case with a sharpening stone. When I picked the case up it fell apart though..
the guy that lost this must have carried it for years and years....

this is what it looked like after 20mins of cleaning...

old case knives, or any knive that is old is generally worth a decent amount of money, depending the type and age, ect... i got a few older knives, since workin on a farm i got old case, agco ect.. though i have never seen a case knive with the ollllllllllllllllld case logo on it like you have found, might be a rare knife

naw, not rare at all, but definately very old and a nice find, i myself am a "case knives" user, never owned anything but case knives, i have a case knife in my pocket all the time, been caryin it for prolly 30 years, it's a "sod buster jr." model, i also use the bigger "sodbuster" as my main hunting knife
never owned a "buck" knive like all my buddies use,
mainly cause thats what my old man bought me when i started hunting at 12 yr. old,
then found out it is a part of the zippo lighter company, all made right here in pennsylvania
my old mans "sodbuster jr." is still layin on his dresser since he passed about 10 years back
i used to have one similar to that you found, their called a "trapper" and as far as i know all the case knives similar to that with the bone handle had the logo on it like that

look it up on the case knives website or maybe even ebay, i'd be interested in what ya find out about it
