I am new to this forum, and to quads all together. I just picked up a completely stock 97 blaster. Runs and looks great..... but I am itching to start messing with it.....

What is the best upgrades out there right now, what should I do first? Its fast enough for now until i get use to it, should i go to work on suspension- get rid of the stock wheels? Hydraulic brake kit?

stock suspension sucks...some cheap upgrades are in here http://www.blasterforum.com/suspension-14/cheap-shocks-4054/

the first engine mods could be a pipe and reeds.....i recomend the toomey b1 pipe kit because i have it and it is a great pipe kit that comes with everthing you need to put it on and you will have a big power increase...as far as reeds go vforce 3 seems to be the best at $120...but some boyesen power reeds will work fine for the stock cage..the gsxr rear hydro set yp is a good choice here is a link to that http://www.blasterforum.com/suspension-14/rear-hydros-19792/ and talk to awk if you need brackets he makes then for a fair price..

and welcome to BF

Welcome to BF bro congrats on your new to you Blaster.......

If the Blaster is fast enough for you now and you wanna do mods. I would upgrade the suspension and the brakes.

Just like YB said.........

Thanks guys, I think I am gonna start with the suspension, and hydraulic brakes. And go from there. I will be adding speed eventually, and modifying the fenders..... I am thinking of cutting them up my self once spring comes! I think I want to switch out the tires and wheels too, I dont like the looks of the stock tires, I like the hole shots a lot better, and am looking for a rim with more of an offset to widen the back stance a little.
