New to the group need some help

Hey guys , my names ray I decided to make an account because none of the issues I’m having I was finding anywhere . I bought a blaster a few months back the guy said it was a 05 blaster and didn’t have a title , well I ran the vin he gave me and it was for a 450 Honda dirt bike . So that left me sus , I checked the vin it’s engraved I just can’t read it ,, the frame was painted white .. I DONT KNOW WHAT YEAR THE BIKE IS. . The head light that is a 03 and newer head light is hanging onto the plastic by zip tys ,, so I un did everything to have a look under and I don’t know what the 2003 and up headlight bracket looks like ,, or if I have it or not and if that’s a way of telling the year of the bike , I also don’t have hydraulic brakes in the back I have the good old wire brakes ... I’m really scratching my head because I need to order parts and plastic ,, I hope you guys can put my mind at ease ..

There is no bumper either on the bike ,, but I’m just doubling up on this so everyone understands , someone drilled holes into the plastic hood so the light could hang on to the plastic hood lol .. but I don’t know if it’s because they lost the mounting screw before or if it’s just an older model with the newer plastic pieces . I’ll post pictures once I get some responses !

No telling what year that frame is without having the vin # or pics of the front frame without the plastics on.
the rear axle carrier has to be pre 03 to bolt on a cable caliper, the headlight jury rigged on also suggests that's a pre 03 frame.

Every time I go to post a photo it says the photo is too big ?? I’m almost for sure it’s a pre 2003 because of the side bolts on the handle bars for the headlight bracket ... I’m planning on rebuilding my carrier case and buying a new axle I was planning on putting on 2003 and newer parts would that all work out ? The rear end was to small for me and compact I’m about 5,10 and 165 pounds ... I just need it wider in the back , but I wrote down all the bearings for a 2003 and newer carrier .

that's an 88-02 frame you have, you need the older style plastics and headlight, but many have rigged the newer hood and headlight onto the older frames, I wouldn't do it without welding on the correct brackets.
bumpers and most other aftermarket parts will fit all years no matter what years they call them, except the hood/headlight and hydraulic brake components

So how would I go about the rear axle should I just stay with 88 to 02 carrier and find a wider axle or should I switch to 2003 and up and do a wider axle that way ? I think I’ve hear the 03 have different brakes so it wouldn’t line up right ?
