What's up all?
I'm new to blaster forum, hell I'm new to blaster itself. Just got a 95 blaster a few weeks ago so doing the usual web searches to see what I can do to it as well as what I shouldn't be doing.
I've already used this forum to correct some idiotic things the guy I got it from tried. He was using Lawn Boy 2cycle gas mix in it. he has been running it with less than a quarter quart of oil in the crank case. He actually thought the bike was going bad even after he had a shop just do a top and bottom rebuild. Turns out the dumbass didn't know the plugs go bad eventually. Short version.. I got the blaster for $400... the cost of the rebuild and bore.
Anyways, I could go all day about how I've been fixing his mistakes..
Like I said I've used this site already to do my oil pump block. Worked great by the way! I've started using Yamalube 2R. Proper crankcase lube level and change. I had to rehang all aspects of the exhaust because it was literally just barely hanging there. Oh yeah.....new plug. So now it's to where it needs to be and running great.
I live in northern Indiana and I'm on here to learn tips and tricks and possibly find some new riding buddies considering I'm the only owner of toys out of my friends. I've got places to ride but it gets boring with my girlfriend cause she's slow and scared of her grandpas honda 450 4x4. If you wanna chat drop me a line and hopefully something will take off where we can get to ride together and have some fun!
thanks Phil-e
