New To The Blaster Forum

Hey all, just found your site. I was riding a 2005 Polaris Trailblazer 250 w/ a bunch of mods(what an idiot I was), which is for sale $2300 firm, and have recently acquired a '98 Blaster. The Trailblazer is big and heavy and an automatic and the Blaster is small and fun and quick and I'm looking forward to a long and happy relationship,LOL!I:I I do some XC racing in Missouri and Indiana and I can't wait to traverse some of that with actual a-arms and decent shocks, versus Mcpherson struts, which beat the hell out of me. I figure a year or two on the Blaster and I'll be ready to make the jump to a 450 and be able to compete right off the bat. Anyway, I'm glad I found the site and I look forward to talking to everyone more in the future!B-)

Welcome. You'll love the blaster after coming off that big heavy monster. Make sure you stay around here, and you'll learn a lot. I sure have!

XC, aka Cross Country, I do some XC racing in Missouri and Indiana. I've been riding a Polaris Trailblazer 250(Big, heavy, slow machine, LOL) but I went to the Blaster due to financial reasons and because they are so easy to throw around and get them to do what you want. Bottom Line.....the Blaster is a whole lot more fun to ride and parts are a whole lot more readily available.

By the way, thanks for asking! LOL

I wish, I'm 29 years old.=)) I have only raced for a year or so and was on a Polaris Trailblazer 250, racing C vet against mostly 400s & 450s. The Trailblazer is an automatic and weighs about 500lbs and I still managed to finish in the middle of the pack most of the time, so I figure the 5speed and light weight of the Blaster will help a bunch. Not to mention, this year I'll be running the Indiana XC series(ixcracing.com), which has a "sport lites" class for 0-250 2strokes and 0-350 4strokes, so I should be able to be pretty competitive!I:I

yea but no offense but my teacher's husband has a ktm 525 with a bunch of mods and he runs that same class and he can rape around but when he goes to the gncc adn runs the c vet he gets raped lol

lol i've always wanted to do xc but too expensive for me becuz the last time i hit a tree it ripped my rim off lol

I wish i could do any racing. The only racing we have in this state is drags once a year at the local field days. They have only 2 classes, 0-450 and everything above. They also do snowmobile drags on dirt, lol

The thing about the GNCC is that everything(you, quad, etc.) has to be able to take a pretty wicked beating because of the way they lay it out. The Missouri series I was running was pretty brutal, too, one race I bet I saw 3 or 4 swingarm skids just laying on the trail by the 2nd or 3rd lap because the rocks had ripped them from people's machines. I'm sure he's a good rider, I was just giving you chit!LOL!

Hey Flyers, sounds like you need to head south and west and come battle the mud and rocks of the Midwest!!
