new stroker crank

no there was no spacer between the 2. i did measure the stroke and is roughly 60.1 something something. the reason i ask is because i just recieved my engine in the mail from a shop that i had sent it to. the crank shaft has never had a flywheel mounted but if u look at it closely the it looks like someone has already lapped a flywheel to it and where the key goes u can see where it sat and where the key didnt touch is dusty. it looks like some lil pits on the shaft as well

Take the head off and see if the top of the piston comes above the jug deck. If its a stroker it should be a mm or so higher. Did they port match it to the stroker and cut the head to allow for the stroker without the spacer?

Check to see if the piston comes above the jug deck then. If it doesn't then he didn't put in a stroker.
Hard to tell its new from those pics. Need some where the shaft is clear.

what u mean, u want me to take a clearer pic or ur sayin u need a pic inside of the engine? i have seen new crank kits but they dont have the marks of the flywheel bein lapped on. even a small piece of the thread is missing on the end for the flywheel nut

thats what im thinking man, is disapointing. i payed like 10 bucks less for this crank and i just thought he was being generous. it coud be a few buck more or less, dont remember

Im sure it was a rebuilt just by looks.on the shaft.like u said a fly wheel been on it.does the shop you had it at rebuild cranks?i would ask him new rebuilt or new out of box crank

well im pretty sure he does but i tryed calling and no answer. i just pulled the head off and it does come past the top of the jug, also the head gasket looks like it was used and has carbon deposit built up on the inside edge. also i noticed pieces of trash ontop of the piston and in the head. look like some of it was smal pices of alluminum.

Mmm if he rebuilt that engine should be spotless on inside.im not sure on the porting everyone does them diffrently.but before u fire it up make sure its free of junk man.be a headache if didnt.i be pitchen a biotch with that guy call bright and early and take pictures of it

well is hard to say what the inside of the case looks like but i do know there was trash on top of the piston and head. its bullshit and just from the looks of the work it seems shotty. my brother in law is works a machine shop and he was tryin to look at the ports to see the angles or whatever and said its only a 2 angle port job which it use to be a port and polish but now he said the minimum someone would do is 3 amgle. he says the dude prob didnt wanna take his time and do good job.

That sucks big time ive built up a few engines but never got into the whole porting thing.so not to fimilar on that.but when i rebuild im cleaning everything out no matter what.just me im very carefull on detail.like to do it right the first time.anyways i would deff be on the phone first thing talken to that shop.tell him your not happy with his service.shouldnt be a spot of trash in that engine at all unless he didnt rag the intake and exhaust after rebuilt and was working near the engine

all this 2 angle this, 3 angle that is all 4 stroke talk about valve jobs, not porting a good, professional port job should flow smoothly, no edges or angles, your buddy obviously doesnt know sh*t either, wtf ???
limin, take that sh*t outta your bike, and with the head off take that sh*t back to whoever did it and show him what you found, demand some type of itemized bill, with receipts for the parts he "claims" he bought for it, for a stroker crank, or if he rebuilt the crank...ask to see the reciepts for the rod and lower bearing, or from the shop who did it, and that you want a new head gasket, not your old, used, annealed one
or demand some type of refund, or you will run his name, shop, and shoddy work into the ground all over town and the internet
it's your right to demand to know exactly what was done to your motor

what did you pay for this nonsense anyway ????
