Well i got new reeds in the bike and the needle is in the middle position.. going to pull the carb again cause the float bowl seems to want to leak a little.. anything else i should look for or do while i have it apart again?? still have a blubbery midrange everthing else is fine.. idles good and powerband is great just where my girl likes to cruise at whatever RPM that is sucks.. lol i dont get it.. any help would be great

maybe because youre used to that built up engine, that a more stock motor feels off to you. Stock bore blater motors dont have any bottom end or midrange power at all. especially if the motor isnt ported or worked in any way.

i have a similar prob on my 06 mods are as follows:

Flotek Ported Cylinder
LRD Full Exhaust
Uni Air Filter
310 Main Jet
20x10x8 Holeshot HD's
14/40 Gearing
Stock Bore n Stroke

bike idles fine and RIPS up top, but is anything but satisfactory elsewhere. ever since the lrd pipe install its lost its midrange power. if i hit it cruising it will fall on its face and just cruise then 2 secs later it wakes up and takes off. the factory pipe made more mid range. ive messed with the needle n clip but it didnt help, i used the 4th (richer) and 2nd (leaner) positions and it got minutely better with the leaner and the same with richer. i dont wanna lean it out to much to where it blows. any suggestions?

If it falls flat on it's face go richer on the needle.

well mine went "blubbery" like yours when i didnt have the carb in right the boot than comes from the airbox wasnt on the lil knob so their was an airleak check to makesure its all sealed up maybe a new sparkplug?

I think you're main jet might be just a little bit rich. 310 seems kind of big.
what size is your carb. I'm only running a 320 in mine with a 34mm carb on a 240cc w/flotek porting and a +3 crank. But it sounds like the real problem is the LRD pipe. You may be able to adjust the jetting a bit to compensate for the bottom end, but in general the LRD is made to be a high revving pipe so your going to lose a little on the bottom as compared to most other pipes.
