Well I am going to put a new piston and rings in the ole' blasty and I was looking and all I can find is overbore rings. I am guessing with the overbore rings you have to hone your cylinder, correct? If so is there an easy it yourself way, thanks!

You have to hone the jug anytime you install new rings so they can seat and seal correctly. Honing it yourself is not a good idea on something your going to use. It takes practice to get a good cross pattern.

So where should I take it to get it honed do you think my local NAPA would do it? I know they do car cylinders

Thanks man I will just do that after I tear it apart and make sure the cylinder looks good.

They should be able to do it if they have the correct size hone. You can look for atv shops or small engine repair shop. Some place that repairs mowers.
