New Crank Questions=What is Needed?

if you use the spacer plate that comes with the crank it will be fine. But to not run the plate, the head will have to be work to keep the the piston from hitting it due to the longer stroke. I would personally get the head worked because you will see much better power from that than the spacer.

yep the better set up is to have the head milled. that way you don't have two basegaskets which is twice the possability for an air leak. but it will work with just the spacer. I would skip the big bore kit and do a stock cylinder with a port job to match the new stroke. that is the only way to really get all the power from that stroker. or have the bb kit ported for the stroker. vito's has been slackin a bit lately and a lot of people are drifting away from them. also make sure you have that new crank trued before you install it. they come out of wack right out of the box all the time.

i dont want to spend money to get it ported and it probley lowers the reliability dont it? what is my most reliable choice with my 240 kit already installed

getting the head worked just phases out another part(spacer) that could fail. And it also will give you noticable power because workin the head will clean up the horrible excuse for a head that the blaster has.

running a spacer plate is fine, those who say it isnt dont know what they are talking about. if you do decide to get a new crank i would get it checked to make sure it is true and not out of ballance at all, there seems to be a problem with that as of late.
