New Clutch, No Neutral..I'm Freaking Out!!

So i came to the conclusion i over soaked the clutch fibers and they expanded, so i got new clutch fibers and im gonna soak them in pennsoil 20w 50 for 12 hours and put them in, this is what a local shop told me, my dad has known the guy who runs it his hole life and he has worked on bikes his hole life so im gonna try his theory

Where exactly is this ball? Im taking little bits from everybody and ive had it apart like 7 times and just cant seem to get it. I just need detailed instructions somewhere on here, and to make it worse my dad thinks he knows everything! but it doesnt work for him and he just yells at me, so I really want to get this put together and working, i just wanna ride and stop listening to him yell

Bro, I gave you links and a video of how to it don't get no more detailed than that, Unless you have your own personal mechanic! Seroiusly!

You cannot oversoak the clutch disks! That guy is trying to sell you a set of clutches, his name wouldn't be Angus would it! I'm calling bullshit! Save your money and don't buy another set of clutches! If you lived close to me I'd be there to show you and your dad the right way!

I never got any of that from you Slick but thanks, and they expand for the oil because they have no pressure on them, once in the clutch they dont expand because they have pressure and arent soaking in the case. It isnt alot of expansion but its a little bit

Have you bought a Clymers or at least downloaded one, or even looked at the lincs Slick gave you? Did you confirm that the "BB" bearing is even in there? I would doubt that the fibers "swell" much if any, the soaking is only to impregnate them with oil so they don't burn up from the get go. Are you aware you have to "clock" the steels 30* (I think) for each successive one to install it correctly?

If it wasn't Angus it's that other guy, Ben dOver. Speaking of impregnating................ :o :D

And some wonder why Phragel isn't around.X(

See, you were doing it right all along! I hate wrong parts! Let us know how it goes, and that vid is another members jlsparky7 i believe!

Haha, sorry I was getting so mad, but man I couldnt get it. The shop gave me new free clutches and steels! I just got it all together, trying to get this carb adjusted but I cant get to the needle ( I posted a new thread ) so I will let you know soon!
