Hello fellas
Alright well i have a blaster that has set under my deck for the better part of 8 years and well i needed a new beer project so i figured well hell haha but anyways a little back round was my dads bike thought it had blow up so thats why it was parked well i started my investigation turns out it just lost spark due to the ignition key going out well i still went a head and started tear down and noticed the cylinder wall is scared a little and so is the piston and turns out its a big bore kit also 72mm piston so my question is do you guys think i can just buy a new pistion and hone the cylinder? Or just go get it bored over more? Can i just resleeve back down to a normal sleeve and piston or is with the bb kit other stuff is changed also? If resleeving is an option how hard is that? Or a shop have to do it

Sorry about the long post

Welcome to the forum!!!

That was a relatively short post compared to some :p

You can not put a stock sleeve after it has had a bbk

I suggest you buy a piston up a size or two, and get it bored and honed.

Pictures, we all love them!

Welcome to the forum. If you can feel it with your fingernail, bore it. If you want to go back to a stock bore, I'll trade you my stock bore jug. Lol/jk.

Damn thats what i was afraid of cuz i can feel it with my finger nail but barely. Im trying to do this cheeply as i dont have a whol lot of money at the moment (tryin to buy a house) and i proble would trade you lol im not into it for racing or nothing just want to ride some ya know

That is something i dont know as my dad bought this bike for some one who was trying to race with it 12 years ago and its been under my deck since i was 14 when it went down on me

In my case I've never got away with just a hone. Idk about big bore size get feeler gauges and check it

It was not seized up so thats y im thinkin i might be able to get away with just a hone and rings maybe if not well then im not out much money and will have to save up for a bore and new piston lol

I've had a few and never got away with it. I think the max is .005 thousands I wouldn't chance it

Well with the big bore kit stuff gets wxspensive what if i bought a used jug that was not bbk could i just in stall that with maching piston or am i going to have to change the crank and head to?

Ok cool i might just do that cuz hell i can get a jug and piston off ebay for less that 100 anyone wanna buy a jug with a bbk in need of a bore and piston for 100 bucks?haha
