needle positioning help

Step 1: refer to service manual?
lol...
when you look at the needle you can do one of two things...lean it out or make it richer, so to lean it out, move the c-clip 1 slot up, to make it richer, move the c-clip down 1 slot down...if you happen to have it in the leanest slot and its still running rich, jet down 1 size and return the c-clip to the stock position, same scenario for being in the richest slot, jet up and stock position for needle.
this is how I break it down so it makes sense to me..
