Hi so i got my case of my clutch as it wasn't working. but then i noticed the tab on the flywheel side was broken where the return spring grips on. so my grandad gave me a long spring with like a keyring ring on it and i hook it on the clutch arm spring and attatched it to a bolt that was on my frame. not sure what the bolt done as there was nothing there apart from the bolt and a washer. clutch is working a little better but when i put it in gear(cold.) it won't turn the wheel when i pull clutch in.

thanks

i was following you, till that last sentence....

"wont turn the wheel when the clutch is pulled in"
???????????????????

like i have it on axle stands as iv currently got my wheels off to paint them. and i put it in gear without starting and pulled the clutch lever in but the back wheel won't turn .

usually the bike needs warmed up fully before the rear wheels will turn freely, as the clutch fibers will stick to the steel plates until warmed up

give that a try and report back

edit...damn scotj = double fast ninja, LOL

my clutch does that before i start moving on it. damn clutch discs stick together.

ah thanks man! so like if i warm it up and ride it it should be fine? :) my clutch is finally working now and im desperate to get out on it but i can't as im waiting on parts coming for abroad. eg nerf bars, cut out switch, seat cover and rear grab bar :)

yeah mine is the same, if its left to sit and then you try turn the wheels in gear even with the clutch it it wont work, as soon as you start the bike it works great I:I

yes, once you pop it in gear the first time it should work freely after that. it will probably jump a bit and stall when you first try to take off. it'll be fine after that
