buying a dirtbike. and cant decide. 2 stroke or 4stroke. the bikes gonna be based in costa rica(just sayin).
need some help deciding.

IM 13 AND DONT KNOW MUCH BOUT DIRT BIKES BUT I HAVE HEARD PEAPLE SAYIN GOOD THINGS ABOUT THE ktm 250 sx
i couldnt pick against the crf 450...thats the only bike i seem to never beat when im out riding...>=[
normaly i would have said the yz250 but then i saw the ktm 450 on the list. you cant go wrong with a big old ktm they are bulletproof. maybe you could also look into the ktm525 thats the open class champion right now
well it depends on a lot of things are you a beginner to dirt bikes?, how much do you have to spend?, is it for street riding where you'll inevitably be chased by the
if your a beginner you cant go wrong with a ktm 125 sx, never had any problems with the bike and it feels really well made they go for quit cheap now aswell
although looking at that list the one that seems the fastest is the crf450

because my father owns a resort here and i want a dirtbike for my daily travels up the mountain. and about the stealing. my dad has a ktm 640 adventure still not stolen. or maybe its too tall for these lil spanish guys to ride lol.
everything... long hardy climbs up the mountain (we have a mile long hill climb=)) ) some mud, rocky road, paved road, sand, beach, veggie flats and once i get it registered into traffic 60 km paved curvy road =). and once i get the overside gas tank ill go 160km all the way to San Jose. so when i say everything i mean everything.
well I would put it this way get a two stroke because thay are fairly easy and cheap to fix comperd to the 4 stroke, a 450 is fast but thay are heavy and if you are a small person you will most probebly kill your self on a realy big bike. but the ktm is a real nice bike but I love the ktm 250 thay rock!
yo im tall and light. 6´4 at 147 lbs. i ride my dads ktm 640 adventure sometimes. i like the 4 stroke torque. but i like the 2 strokes snappiness.
true that. i have narrowed it down. to the cr250 kx250 yz250 250sx and 450sxf im think i might go two stroke lol
lmfao i wanna get it setup for some nasty supermoto on the mountains. but yeah i wanna haul ass.
I say 4 stroke,you said your doing road riding? 2 strokes usually use more gas than 4 strokes so you will save gas. No worries about mixing oil incase they dont have it. And for the riding you said you are going to do to me a 4 stroke sounds good.
