Recently my engine starting acting funny. it will start but will not stay started. when i give it a little gas it gets a deep tone and wants to die. its a deep hard noise and i dont know what to look for. i tore the engine apart and cleaned it but it still does the same thing, any ideas what might be wrong and what i should look at

I agree with blaaster ! That's always the first thing to do when troubleshooting. Id also suggest checking your reeds. I've had bad v-force 3's that popped out of place a few different times and I had similiar sounding problems. Engines starts but bogs and dies when given constant throttle, and also makes a weird/different sound when reving. If your TORS is still connected I'd also suggest searching how to remove your TORS, I'd walk you through it but I have an 01 and there's a different process for disconnecting/removing the TORS for 03's and newer.
