My shifting problem

Hard shifting mainly between 3-4 up or down. Adjusted clutch out as tight as possible and it looked decent when we split the cases. I did the shift star mod to it also.
I hate to have to split the cases again...
It is a 2006 so I had to split them to get the star out.
If the shift shaft was bent wouldnt it cause hard shift between all gears???

I have the same problem but with getting into 6th. Could it be the shift star? And how do I get to the shift star if so?
