i would have absolutely no use for those. unless it rains (when it does twice a year) and go down a muddy slope

I stopped snowboarding when I moved here lol. did it for a year...... Way too cold for me, not enough powder and when it is warm enough it all turns to ice and I live in a valley so the hills are pretty weak.
But when I lived in northern California I loved it, boreal ski resort is awesome, it was only an hour drive for me so me and my friends would go all the time. sooo much powder and never colder then 30.

its usually and average of -20 celcius for me, dont know what that is in fearenheit, not too cold, but not warm, specially the days it is like minus 40 plus windchill, resort is emoty though ;p

Skiing is for homos, get with the times and snowboard.

Haha just kidding... Kind of. I've been riding for 13 years now( longer if you count standing up on my sled going down the hill haha). I work at a mountain in the winter that's only a couple minute drive away so it's nice to go for free. But what sucks is that by being there so much for work I tend to get sick of seeing the place and I don't ride as much as I used to/ would like to.

Problem here is the runs are short and the lifts are long, takes a minute to get down then you are sitting for 10 minutes to get back up... That gets old and cold quick. I just got my girlfriend riding pretty good last year after only going q couple times and it's kind of reignited my love for the sport. It's nice to take my time and relax while riding with her rather than bombing the trails all the time.

Last year I tried skiing for the first time. The first night was a disaster because it was after the employee party and I was loaded... I didn't even remember half the night when people were telling me about it. I went into work the next day ( I'm a lift supervisor) and all the attendants were telling me about sh*t I was saying and laughing at me.. Oh well. I think my gf might still have a picture of the bruises I got from that night I'll throw them up later if she does haha.

That said, skiing is a lot easier to pick up on when you are sober. My third time out I was carving pretty good. It's definitely fun to learn something new when you've been snowboarding for years and years. I plan on doing it some more this year but I'm not hanging up the snowboard just yet.

wow that is sick man, let me know sometime and u can come have a beer at my place at lunch or after school, i am on 35 adelaide, just down the road, small world, i knew little britain was close, but i wouldn't have thought u went to LCVI

imo skiing is easier to pick up, but i think it is harder in the park and looks way cooler :p just my opinion :p

plus your nuts are more susceptible to injury

That ain't a good thing to me. I'm not a part of that F'd up generation that finds it funny to take a shot to the nuts. I have no clue what kids are on these days...

I don't think skiing looks any better than snowboarding unless you are gay, I'm sure all that poll handling would get a gay quite excited. Are you trying to tell us something? :D

I gotta go ahead and still say snowboarding. Some spins in the air look a bit better when skiiers do them but not all of them, and I think snowboarders can look a lot better on boxes and rails. Skiiers look like the same old sh*t on rails everytime... Frontside or backside... Eh gets old.

Skiiers go big in the pipe for sure, and they can obviously tackle the bumps better, but I still love hitting moguls. It's an age old debate that will never
be settled though. Here's my favorite video part ever... The music is different from what was in the actual video and sounds like sh*t but
the riding is still the same... Sick.

i havent snow boarded since i shattered my collar bone on hunter mountain....would like to try it again tho

Yeah bet that didn't feel too good. I broke my arm in the park a couple years back so now I take it real easy and don't venture into the park too often. No health insurance= play it safe haha. I see these young kids get totally messed up on jumps and sh*t and then bounce back up like nothing happened...
