my engine is not running right :(

first of all whats up with the suspension on the blaster in your sig? and mine did that for a while. had an air leak, and my exhaust was filled up with gas. not saying thats your problem, but check for air leaks. and is your tors still hooked up? edit..... i read your sig. is it disconnected from the tors box under your hood?

ya i riped tors out today.. caused problems when i was out :( if its leaking air where is the problem? ino its with the engine but never delt with air leaks before

perform a leak down test to find the air leak. i would also recommend a compression test. sounds exactly like what mine was doing. boggy, impossible to kick start, backfiring, and hanging revs.

so yours acted the same and it was leaking air? theres aload of black dirty gunky sh!t where the bottom and top end meet.. could it be be leaking there?

get in touch with holeshotman on here. he makes and sells the testers or you could build one pretty cheap yourself.

this vid here shows you how to do it.

Hope ya get it figured out. There is no way to know for sure where the leak is until you hook up the tester and use it. Blaster engines have been known to blow base gaskets, especially if somebody put one back together with a poor quality gasket.

Lots of gunk is indeed a sign of a leak. Do the test and report back! :)

yeah dont EVER EVER EVER use vitos gaskets. EVER!! i had the problem when i put my 240 on it, got cometic gaskets now, hopefully it wont leak after it come back from ken.

Agreed. I wouldn't even want to wipe my butt with a Vito's gasket... I can just see one tearing even then...X(

You need to dig until you find the source of the leak.

The only leak you cannot access (change) from the outside is a leak between the case halves. The hardest to detect is a leak between the case halves into the transmission/balancer shaft area.

Most of the time a leak will be at the reed gasket or a crank seal. Both are changable without pulling the motor. The crank seals are tougher obviously but can be removed and reinstalled with minimal disassembly.

it was drawing air from the carb port.. problem sorted just have to wait how for sealant to dry :) nice tip i found out it this happens to some1 spray oil around all the joints by the reeds and carp.. if i starts with no problems the leak is there.. the oil will hold it air tight for a few seconds I:I
