k today i got a banshee all stock except for fmf fattys and k&n filter....here its hard to start when it does run it run good and fast but pops and back fires and dies out if you ant on the throttle and will not idle at all

Check for exhaust leaks. Pilot jet should be a 27.5, if its a stock 25 then you should change it out. Definitely lean on the idle.

Symptoms match my topend right before i lost compression completely. I hope thats not the case. Check out the links in my sig. I have one on a pilot jet change if you are unsure.

Where do you live? Jetting isnt based on anything other than altitude.

Im not busting anyones balls, but I see a lot of jetting advice given on this site without even a question about where the person whos recieving the advice lives. Linkcoln Place doesnt tell me anything in regards to the OP, so I have no idea where hes at.

LOL. i know what meen i live i pittsburgh PA i fixed the choke it was broken off it seems to better but will not idle and took off the boost bottle i will check the jets soon like tonight thanks guys

Actually the boost bottle in theory does stuff on a Banshee. If you already have it, and it seals properly, leave it on.

Also, you might do a compression test on it just for grins. My buddy has a banshee thats kinda hard to start, it wont idle, but it runs really good once you get it out on a flat or a trail, and its got low compression.

The " Boost " bottle on a banshee is just a equalizer or " crossover " . it gives fuel/air a path to each cylinder so as one intake port closes , the other opens and that atomized fuel is sucked where the engine wants it. In my opinion its a great place for a air leak so I switched to a 2-1 Intake and single carb . Simpler is better and you get less thumb fatigue because your only opening one throttle slide versus 2 .

yae how is that 2 into 1 intake i was goin to make for it and after i fixed the choke it fires up 1 or 2 kicks right now but still no idle at all and alittle boggy on the pulling out ill try puting the b bottle back on with real hose clamp and see what happens

you might have to take the pilot and main out and clean the little passage ways/holes. but the cheaper ans much simpler idea I have is try using a higher octane gas like 93 and some premium oil thats what I did for my blaster purs like a kitten roars like a lion now.
