motor runs in reverse

I resently installed a new stator coil in my 89 blaster and now it runs in reverse. i beleve it is firing on the up stroke instead of the down. the wires all match up color to color and it was installed the same as the old one. any ideas?

sounds like u sheared off the woodruff key on the crankshaft

i would say the same heard of this happening to a lot of people and every time it been a sheared key

yep thats yer problem, also make sure you didnt put it on upside down
