motor oil for a filter?????!!! :/

my friend is using 2 stroke premixing oil on his filter in his dirtbike?! is that a bad idea?

peoples are crazy these day ,tell your friend to use 10w30 motor oil in its oil injection tank !!!!I:I

i use 10w 30 in my tranny (its winter here so its thinner) and injection oil in my reservoir

automotive motor oil burns yopur clutches kause it contains friction modifiers, use stuff specifically for motorcycle and atv gear boxes, or anything for a wet-clutch

If I want the right stuff, I would have to drive 30 minutes, more or less to the yamaha dealer and get that yamalube oil (which I have used once) or I can order some out of an ATV catalogue....

well 30min driving to get the right stuff is not a big deal,changing the clutch plate (60$) plus gasket(10$) plus labour this is a big deal!!just my 2 cents

I use the yamalube crankcase oil, it's synthetic and designed for the clutches.

a friend of mine put regular 10w30 in his and burned the clutches up.

dunno, but i'd rather be sure that stuck in the woods.

i use the yamalube injector oil for the injection system and mobil1 synthetic motorcycle 2 cycle engine oil if i mix it with the gas.
