So I have 2 blasters, 1 i just got back from having a new crank installed and runs great, has FMF pipe and RT180 carb with uni filter and box removed the 2nd was a parts bike but now Im turning into a project and am rebuilding it step by step, but is bone stock. here is my questions. I want to do some upgrades, im thinking head rechambering and a bigger carb, Im not looking to spend over 2-300. 1) what is the biggest carb I can put on my Blaster? good mod? or not? Head rechamber? Im looking to do the mod on my running one and if its good then do it on the project since Im rebuilding it. I would like some ideas for best dollar for dollar mods for the blaster keeping in mind my budget im not looking to race or anything just some more power and speed, but not too much to where i spill my beer =) jk. Let the ideas and info flow!

Keep the stock carb, do the head rechamber, port and get an aftermarket pipe. Look into maybe an aftermarket air box and or just removing the lid if the area you ride permits . than look into suspension mods. You can only ride as fast as you can handle it.. Blaster suspension is ,, well kinda flintstoneish if you ask me.. .. Kinda hard going fast in a log.. 2-300 is a good start if you already have an aftermarket pipe.

grab tht 75$ fmf on E bay right now and be ahead a little. .. If the look of it bothers u than paint it.

you could search it real easy...

there is one for 56 and one for 75.

the cheaper one has the flange, the other one looks better. your call

Go for the re-chambered head. It inexpensive and WORKS! Bigger carb... don't waste your money. You can get one later if you go with a HUGE aftermarket cylinder. That stock carb works awesome from stock to ported cylinders.

will a 3mm stroker crank put out alot power as compared to standard hot rod crank? is it work the 179 cost?

You won't see a +3's full potential without a port job to match. Also a +3 is going to require more than just buying a crank. You will have to clearance the top of the crankcase and buy new seals and bearings.

On a budget like you said, your best bang for your buck is a used aftermarket pipe like suggested and good air filter with lid removed. http://kenoconnorracing.com/ can do a head mod and port for a great price and best service. Those few mods will get you the best power increase for your money.
